Linda Kromjong became President of amfori per 1 January 2022.
amfori is the leading business association for sustainable trade, empowering close to 2.500 companies across the globe to operate successful and responsible businesses, by helping them improve the Environmental, Social and Governance performance of their value chains.
amfori works collaboratively and closely with its members, business partners & stakeholders to accelerate positive impact.
From October 2018 through December 2021, she served as Global Labor & Human Rights Director at Samsung Electronics. In this role she focused on establishing the company’s labor & human rights framework to drive corporate and supply chain improvements and on strengthening the company’s relationships with key international policymakers and opinion formers.
Prior to her role at Samsung, Linda Kromjong was Secretary-General of the International Organisation of Employers (IOE) in Geneva from 1 May 2015 to 1 October 2018. Before the IOE, she was the Vice-President, Labor Relations International & Human Rights for Deutsche Post DHL. Linda started her career in the Hospitality Industry with Sodexo in the Netherlands and has many years of experience in senior positions in general management, HR, Labor Relations, and Business & Human Rights.
She currently serves as a Member of the Stakeholder Board of the Association of Professional Social Compliance Auditors Inc. (APSCA). She was a member of the UN Global Compact Advisory Board from 2015 to 2018.
In her role as president of amfori she advocates for sustainable and open trade and continues to interact with governments, international institutions NGOs and civil society such as the EU Commission, ILO, IOM, OHCHR, UNWGHR, UN Women, WTO, ITC, GIZ, IOE, BSR, Rainforest Alliance, ASEAN CSR Network and ITUC as well as with likeminded associations. She is regularly invited to speak at events, to list a few; European Parliament Working Group of Responsible Business Conduct, the UN Global Compact or the WTO.
Linda Kromjong is a Dutch national and completed Hotel Management School and Business Management studies in the Netherlands.
